The Security Engineer will join the expert teams that manage the Luxembourg – EuroHPC supercomputer MeluXina. In this role you will secure and monitor the security of our Supercomputing, Cloud, Data and corporate IT infrastructure and services.
Your role consists in
- Design, implement and continuously improve security solutions, ensuring that security requirements are embedded across all organizational layers, systems and services.
- Ensure the implementation of the organizational security policies and processes
- Lead and actively contribute to security initiatives and projects aligned with the company’s ISO 27001 roadmap.
- Conduct risk assessments, security assessments, vulnerability checks and security patching
- Lead and contribute to security incident response processes and forensics investigations
- Contribute to internal and external security audits and security reporting
- Participate in the design and implementation of secure solutions together with other stakeholders within the organization
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
Profile
- Master’s degree in information security, Computer Systems and Networks, Computer Science,
- Engineering or related technical field
- Proven experience in a role with information security or cybersecurity focus, preferably in a secure and trusted IT environment
- Proven experience in securing service-oriented environments
- Focus on information security or cybersecurity
- Excellent understanding of modern threats to IT infrastructure and advanced knowledge on securing service-oriented environments
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices
- Extensive experience with security protocols and hands-on experience with implementing security solutions (IAM, SIEM, PAM, Vault, MDM, EDR)
- Professional security certifications (CISSP or CEH) are highly desired
- Cloud security certifications (CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer) are highly desired
- Excellent knowledge of monitoring and data analysis tools and solutions (such as Prometheus/Grafana, Icinga, ELK Stack, Splunk)
- Excellent knowledge of typical Linux distributions (such as RHEL/CentOS/Rocky, SLES, Debian/Ubuntu), their security mechanisms and tools
- Excellent knowledge of scripting languages (such as Python, Shell)
- Solid knowledge of network security concepts, solutions and products (such as firewalls, WAF, reverse proxies)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural team environment.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English is a must. Good control of French and/or German is a plus.
